ATLI Cam plus FAQs

Since we’ve made some big changes to the ATLI Cam+, which might cause some confusion for users of the old ATLI Cam App. The FAQs below cover common questions from previous users.

 

Is it necessary to create an account to use the camera?

No, creating an account is not necessary for basic functionality, such as connecting to the camera and shooting. However, an account is required to unlock advanced features. Therefore, we recommend creating one to fully enjoy all the benefits our app offers.

 

I have registered my camera on the ATLI Cam app. How to relocate my cameras to ATLI Cam+? 

To relocate your camera from the ATLI Cam app to ATLI Cam+, you'll need to re-add your camera in the ATLI Cam+ app. This is easily done by scanning your camera's QR code with ATLI Cam+. If you've misplaced your manual and need access to the QR code, don't worry. You can download it directly from the ATLI Cam app.

Inside the app, navigate to the camera list (step 1), and select your camera to find its information (step 2), where the QR code will be available for download (step 3&4). Should you encounter any issues or can't find the QR code, our customer service team is ready to assist you. Don't hesitate to reach out for help.

In the ATLI Cam+ app, to become the admin of a camera, you must first scan the camera's QR code, add the camera, and successfully connect it to your ATLI Cam+ app. Once these steps are completed, you will be granted admin rights to the camera and keep it in your camera list.

 

Why did my camera vanish from the list after I shared the QR code with someone else?

To ensure enhanced security and privacy, the new app requires you to use the "Share My Camera" feature when sharing your camera with others. Instead of sharing the QR code directly, create a group for the camera in the "Share My Camera" feature and invite other users to join the group. This allows multiple users to manage the camera together. If you share the QR code directly and someone else scans and registers the camera under their account, it will unregister from your account. To regain control, you can either scan the camera again to become the admin or ask the other user to share the camera with you using the "Share My Camera" feature.

 

Cannot create a Time Slice on the ATLI Cam+ app?

The Time Slice feature isn't ready on the ATLI Cam+ app yet. But no worries, we'll include it in the next updates. If you need this feature, please use the ATLI Cam app instead.

 

The remote access was all good, but then it just stopped working out of nowhere. Any idea why it happened?

Here's what usually goes down when this situation pops up:

  1. The external power source is cut off, so the camera either goes into sleep mode or power off. (breakdown of how the power-saving mode can impact the remote access)
  2. The power source for the Wi-Fi router is cut off, so the Wi-Fi goes down.

Once you get those power issues sorted out, your remote access should go back to working smoothly.

 

The 'Remote Status' is green, but the remote access does not work.

Our system updates the Remote Status every 5 minutes, but sometimes there can be a delay. If you encounter an error, just give it about 5 minutes for the server to confirm the status. If you really need to use the camera right away, please try connecting directly to the camera using its Wi-Fi.
