Share My Camera - Setup

Create groups and share access to your camera with other users, allowing them to view and manage your camera's feed (depending on permissions, if any exist).

 

  1. Navigate to Me > Share My Camera.
  2. Tap on "Add a new group", enter a descriptive name for the group.
  3. Select the camera(s) you want to share with the members of this group. You can select multiple cameras if needed.
  4. Tap the "Invite" button. This will open a field where you can enter the email address (account) of the person you wish to invite to the group. Ensure you enter the correct email address associated with their account.
  5. The invitee will receive an invitation to join the group.
  6. Once the invitee accepts the invitation, they will automatically gain shared access to the camera(s) within that group, as defined by the group's permissions. They will be able to view the camera feed and potentially control camera settings, depending on the permissions assigned to the group.

 

Important Note

  • Admin Privileges: Only the group administrator (the person who created the group) has the permission to manage the group. This includes inviting new members, removing existing members, and modifying group settings. Group members cannot invite others to the group.
  • Admin Change and Access Loss: If the camera's administrator changes (e.g., the ownership of the camera is transferred to a different account), all group members will lose access to that camera. The new administrator will need to re-establish the group and invite members again.
